Defense giant, Raytheon, and motion-capture studio, Motion Reality, is currently putting the finishing touches on a virtual-reality simulation based on the very location. The technology is meant to train soldiers by realistically simulating modern warfare. A technician shows the map of where they are on a computer screen. It’s a trapezoid — a replica, down to all publicly available details, of the most famous Pakistani compound in history.
The environment is extremely accurate. The detail of the bullet holes that pepper the walls makes you feel like you’re breathing the same air that Osama did. The commandos already use sims, of course. Before SEAL Team 6 hit Abbottabad, they reportedly prepped for the mission using a full-scale model of bin Laden’s hideout, assembled by the the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Additional locations include Urban East and Urban West. Urban East has a “more Middle East”-like display, while Urban West caters for hometown house-to-house fighting. There are also ‘Mountain’ and ‘desert’ locations as well.
They will debut the simulation at the 2011 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference. The conference showcases the newest technologies developed by defense manufacturers all around the world.
All this comes not even three weeks after President Obama announced the mission to kill Osama bin Laden.
There seems to be a growing trend of game developers modeling game locations on current events.
For players who have wondered what would it have been like to be on the mission to kill Osama bin Laden, wonder no more.

A playable map for first-person shooter Counter-Strike: Source has just surfaced. The map was created by game programmer ‘Fletch’ and modeled after Osama’s secret compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The map is also downloadable at GameBanana
The map's creator says it "may be used as a base for a bomb or hostage map at a later stage." For now, it's a general purpose multiplayer map based on the known dimensions of bin Laden's compound in Pakistan.
