Why can’t I upload my profile picture?

It’s likely that your picture is bigger than the maximum 512 KB allowed. Try using a different picture; we’re sure you have other ones that you look good in!


My picture has been uploaded, but I can’t see it on my profile.

Please give it a little while; our server may still be updating your profile. If this doesn’t work, try uploading the photo again!


Where can I find my friends?

You can find a list of your online friends on the bottom left corner of the main social games page. You can also find a full listing of your friends in your "My Profile" page.


What are badges?

Badges appear on your profile when you achieve certain tasks while playing on MatchMove Games. They can be found on your awards page, where everyone from MatchMove Games (not just your friends), can see all the cool things that you have managed to do! There are awards for a LOT of things, including how many profiles you have visited, to how many times you have posted on the forums, and even how many posts you have "liked"!


What are the forums for?

We have a forum for each of our social games. These are divided into English, Bahasa, Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese. Be sure to check the forums on your local language to get help with the games and to meet gamers from your home country!


Why isn’t my game loading?

The game may not be loading due to numerous reasons. Please ensure that the following are true before trying to play one of MatchMove Games’s social games:
- You are connected to the internet
- You have the latest version of Flash installed
- You are logged into MatchMove Games

If these are all true, then your chosen game may be down for scheduled maintenance. Please check again in an hour or two to see if it’s back up!


Can I play MatchMove Games’s social games offline?

We’re sorry to say that this isn’t possible. Our social games are designed to be played on the MatchMove Games network, and can’t be downloaded and played offline.


Can I reset my score or game progress?

No, you may not reset your game or score. Unfortunately, this isn’t part of the game design.


How to clear browser cache?

Every web browser stores a cache of the websites you visit \(e.g. HTML pages, images\) to reduce bandwidth usage and server load. This is called the browser's cache. Clearing it occasionally can make some websites run smoother and free up space on your computers hard drive if it's running low. Since every browser is different, the following sections will outline the steps involved in clearing the cache for several popular web browsers.

Internet Explorer:

Internet Explorer 8

1.Click "Tools".

Once your browser is open, click the Tools menu. Or, optionally you may simply press Ctrl-Shift-Delete to open the Delete Browsing History window (and skip step 2)

2.Delete Browsing History...

Click on Delete Browsing History...

3."Temporary Internet Files".

Select Temporary Internet Files.

4. Click the Delete button near the bottom of the window to delete your temporary files (i.e. clear your cache).

5. If you want the browser to automatically clear the cache whenever you close it, click the Advanced tab. Click to check the box next to the Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed option (in the section labeled Security). Click OK. This will delete everything except cookies.

Note: IE8 has a "feature" which retains some cookies even after you clear your cache if you do not UNCHECK the "Preserve Favorites Website Data." If you truly need to clear your cache, you will want to uncheck this!

Internet Explorer 7

1. Open IE 7 and click the Tools menu. Click the Delete Browsing History link at the top.

2. Under the Temporary Internet Files heading, click Delete files...

3. Click Yes when you see the prompt asking if you are sure you want to delete all temporary files.

4. Alternatively, clear your cache for just the current page you're visiting. Press and hold [Ctrl] on your keyboard, then Press [F5] or click on the Refresh button (square button on the toolbar with opposite-facing arrows).

Firefox

Firefox 3.5 / 3.6 / 4.0 / 5.0

1. Tools > Clear Recent History

Click the Tools menu, then select Clear Recent History.

Note: If you don't see the Tools menu, hold down the Alt key then press the T key to access Tools.

2.Everything

Choose the time range of cache you'd like to clear.

3.Cache

Click on Details and make sure Cache is checked.

4. Select Clear Now.

Google Chrome

1.Tools menu

Once your browser is open, select the Tools menu (the wrench in the upper-right corner) and select Options (Preferences on Mac).

2.Clear browsing data

On the Under the Hood tab, click the Clear Browsing data... button.

3.Clear cache

Select the Empty the cache check-box.

4.Select your time period.

You can also choose the period of time you wish to delete cached information using the Clear data from this period dropdown menu.

5.Done!

Click the Clear Browsing Data button.

Safari

Safari for Mac OS X

1."Click Empty Cache"

Once your browser is open, click the Safari menu and select Empty Cache....

2. Click Empty.

Safari for Windows

1. Once your browser is open, click the Edit menu and select Empty Cache....

2. Click Empty.


How do I invite my friends to play games with me?

You can invite your friends through numerous options:
- Facebook Connect
- Yahoo! OpenID
- Email invites

Using any of these options to share games or invite your friends will result in them receiving an update about it on their profile (Facebook and Yahoo!), as well as receiving an email telling them that you’d like to see them on MatchMove Games (Yahoo! and Email invites).

Of course, if you don’t like any of these options, you could always tell your friend about MatchMove Games the next time you see them!
